2011 is the International Year of Chemistry and Catalyst Science Discovery Centre in Widnes is playing a pivotal role in promoting this throughout the UK.

Oil Recruitment have partnered with Catalyst to take an active role in promoting science to the younger generation and we have sponsored the Nitrogen element of the periodic table as one of the ways of showing our support for science education in the region.

Catalyst is an interactive science centre and museum devoted to chemistry and how the products of chemistry are used in every day life.  Their key aim is to make science exciting and accessible to people of all ages and to inform them about science based industries and their role in our lives, past present and future. Young visitors to the centre may also be the next generation looking for jobs or careers in the oil industry.
